Dalton Roberts wears many hats and wears them well.  Musician.  Singer.  Songwriter.  Author.  Poet. Columnist.  Toastmaster.  Humorist.  Philosopher.  First and foremost an entertainer.

He took up his first guitar at the age of 13 and a few years later was earning money as a musician.  He worked his way through college and taught school.  Always, though, music and entertaining were in his blood.

He served his native community as the Hamilton County Manager and ran for the office of county executive when that post was first created.

Political advisers told him he had to abandon the nightclub friends he had been playing music for.  He replied he would give up politics before he would do that.  In fact, it was the support of these friends that helped him win the first election.  His ability won over the entire electorate and he remained in office for 16 years until "retirement," when he began working harder than ever on a multitude of projects.

That meant more time for music, writing and being the philosopher who holds audiences spellbound.
